The Heritage of Cacha Bed

The year was around 1900 when Gaganang Building ,where Cacha Bed Heritage Hostel is now, was built. Since then, this four story Victorian building has become a true neighborhood landmark.

Situated in the heart of Chinatown, Cacha Bed Heritage Hostel is a reminder of days gone past. Its classic Victorian architecture stands alone among Old Town's newer buildings. Founded by Lady Mom Rajawong Rosalin Gaganang, the granddaughter to Prince Gaganang Yugala, a son of King Rama 4th, the hostel that you see today was originally built for the royal family.

Since then, the building's ownership has been transferred to the Mom Rajawong Ying Rosalin Gaganang Foundation, a philanthropy group that donates the income from its properties to various organizations like the Chulalongkorn hospital (one of the largest public hospitals in Bangkok) to help fund medical scholarships, medical building construction, and medical equipment.

This generous spirit also carries through our carefully designed rooms for the weary traveller, as well as the warmth and kindness of our helpful staff.

Chill-Out Areas
  • Not only are the sights and tastes of Old Town waiting to be discovered, there is also plenty to find in and around the hostel.

  • We built our chill out area with your comfort and happiness in mind. Start a table foot-ball game with a fellow traveler, grab a book at the library, or get a cup coffee and join the others watching TV.
